Parkhurst Boots, The Richmond. Cap-toe heritage boots. US company, made in Spain, assembled in Buffalo NY. This Richmond model features a waxy commander article from the Charles F. Stead tannery. With a shrunken fiber and heavy wax application, the combination of these characteristics can make for a rugged leather which performs well in wet conditions. Waxy Commander will exhibit a rugged, non-uniform texture as shown in the pictures. Absolutely beautiful boots with superb leather. Worn once around the block walking the dog. Unfortunately a half size too large for me. Retail for $388.
